• Question: Do you know anybody that has donated organs

      In the building I work in we have a team who specialise and look after organ donation and work as a team with other organisations in the UK to ensure that donated organs are collected and issued as quickly as possible. I know someone who is a living donor and has donated a kidney. I think organ donation is a very interesting thing.

      I don’t know any personally but I have registered for my organs to be given to someone else if I die and their in good enough shape to be re-used. I also have a card in my wallet that states it. I like the idea of being helpful to someone, even if I am not there anymore… I think everyone should think about it.

      I’ve met lots of people in my work who have received donated organs, but not their donors. I have donated stem cells to someone with blood cancer who needed a stem cell transplant, and am registered as an organ donor to donate my organs when I die.
