I work 8am until 4pm, 5 days a week. Before that I did a lot of studying and working in different jobs. I started working in this job 18 months ago when I was 27, but you can start earlier if you already know what you want to do!

If you define working as the moment when you start being paid, then I started working when I began my PhD. I was 22.

I have been working since the age of 13 years old first as a paperboy then onto McDonalds at 16 years old then Starbucks at 21 years old before NHS Blood transfusion at 24 years old. I studied at school and university during this time. However if you are meaning how long do I work a week I do a 37.5 hour week with 2 x 30mins breaks per shift. During the week I do a variety of shifts days shift (7am – 3pm), back shift (2pm – 10pm) or night shift (10pm – 7am).
