      It would depend on how tall/big you are as if your body contains 4L or 8L of blood, losing 1L of blood won’t do the same damage. For that reason, the doctors I work with would give you percentage of that total blood volume.
      There is no risk below 15% of loss but the patient will need urgent intervention above 40%. After, there won’t be enough blood to keep organs working, notably the brain, and the patient will first go unconscious before dying.
      But there are ways to prevent that from happening! The first thing to do would be to stop the bleeding (put a tissue on the wound for example) and to immediately called the emergencies. They will be able to handle the situation by adminstering blood. That is also why it is very important for people who are old enough to donate their blood! We need stocks to save people who need it!
