The best thing about my job is no day is the same every day is something new. Days are busy and we vary which part of the lab we are in depending on shift from manufacturing of blood products to dispatching blood products and testing blood products. I really enjoy meeting and speaking to new people all the time and also helping to be part of a chain to save lives. I also enjoy learning about blood and the products we make as there is so much to learn about blood.

The freedom to organise my schedule as I want and the idea that my work can potentially help anyone. I also love the possibility to learn about other people’s work in medical research as they are so many things happening these days and there are lot of opportunities to get to know about them (conferences, seminars, …). There is a lot of variety in this job so you cannot be bored. I also value very much the fact that it allows me to pursue other interests outside of work.

The best thing about my job, is doing something I enjoy and learning new things everyday. I never get bored as there is always new challenges.

The best thing is knowing that you’re helping people every day, and possibly giving them more time with their families. Every day is different so you can’t get bored!
