If by doctor you mean someone who can treat people and prescribe them medicine, then no, never, and it would probably be best that I never do it^^ For the sake of the patients… That is the first type of doctor.
The second type are people like me. I am called a doctor because I have a degree called a PhD which means that I have studied for about 8 years more after my high-school graduation and spent a long time researching about a certain topic (the heart in my case). But even if your PhD wasn’t focussed on a health-related problem, like quantum physics or history, you would still be called a doctor.
