As many as in UK, which means not a lot. I remember when I graduated from engineering school in France, there was less than 20% of the cohort who were women. Between my A-levels and engineering school, there were 4 women in my class of 48 people…
It also depends on the science topic. There are usually more women in fields such as biology or chemistry than in engineering or computer sciences. There can be many reasons for that and one of them can be a lack of trust in their ability or potential. It is a shame because there are no reason they can’t be better than men! I know many women who succeds in science and are the best in their field.
